The Wave Sky is the newest member to the Mizuno family as of May 2017.  This particular model retails at $240 & has settled quite nicely in our premium, stable-neutral category & comparable to the New Balance 1080, Brooks Glycerin & Saucony Triumph ISO.

Mizuno retired their Wave Enigma & brought the Wave Sky to the market with all their newest technologies & these guys were made for running!  With a 10mm heel drop, this shoe aligns with most current shoes on the market making the transition to this model a little kinder on the achilles.

Upon the first feel on the foot, the Wave Sky delivers that instant cushioned feel underfoot. The heel is very padded, a deep toe box makes you feel that blisters may be almost impossible and a snug feeling across the mid foot gives you that instant feel that this shoe fits just right.

Once moving the shoe still maintains that cushioned feel without losing responsiveness & that signature performance orientated ride that Mizuno prides themselves on.   This is thanks to two of their newest technologies, Cloudwave and Smoothride.
Made out of the lightest materials, Cloudwave guides the foot through mid stance assuring effortless transition and flexes at heel strike, reducing impact & making your shoe feel that little bit more cushy and soft without losing the freedom of movement. The Wave Sky is also heavily padded with two layers of foam - the bottom layer is segmented so each section crushes independently upon foot strike complimenting a smooth transition.
Smoothride is a combination of Mizuno's midsole and outsole technologies and starts working as soon as your foot touches the ground.  It promotes movement from the back to the front of the foot & gives you a more solid platform at toe off which helps you generate more power from each strike.

If you're after a great neutral running shoe for those longer runs without losing the feel for the road - then come on in store & get the Mizuno Wave Sky on your feet!
